Soft Peanut Butter & Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ah, sports! Sweat dripping down your face, the intense sun beating down on you (unless you're indoors...), and the pain of overworked muscles! Yet, I love it! The bonus? It's fall! The days are way cooler and that means you have more time to play before you collapse on the spot.
Yesterday I was babysitting my 8 year old neighbour, so ultimately there would be some physical games. In the morning Wii Sports, boxing. What is so appealing? You punch someone and your arms kill afterwards.
In the afternoon, tennis. Ahhh! But not the "Ah," at the beginning, but an "AHH!" Running up and down the street chasing after balls, hitting the balls, finding the balls. So at the end of the day I came home and it was like someone put 10 needles in my arms. I couldn't lift them.

Today they still feel bad, but what better way to feel better than to have excessive amounts of mouthwatering Peanut Butter Chocolate cookies?! They are healthy too! Didn't someone say that peanut butter is good for you? With all this good eating you'll be in shape in no time!
This recipe was adapted from Bakerella, but with a few modifications!

Peanut Butter Chocolate Cookies

Makes about 30, 2 inch cookies

1 1/2 cups                 flour
1/2 cup                     cocoa
3/4 tsp                      baking soda
1/2 tsp                      salt
1/2 cup                    butter, softened
1 cup                        sugar
1/2 cup                    brown sugar
1/2 cup                    peanut butter
2 eggs
1 tsp                        vanilla
3/4 cup                    chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a small bowl add flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt. In a separate bowl cream butter, sugar, peanut butter, eggs and vanilla until smooth. Add flour mixture and beat until combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
With a small ice-cream scoop, scoop out even amount of batter, roll them into a ball and place on a cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes and enjoy!

These are the best cookies ever! If your not a big fan of peanut butter, substitute it for Nutella! Don't worry if you have peanut allergies though, you can take out the nut quality entirely and just have some really tasty chocolate chips cookies!
Be prepared if you make them though, to take photos of them fast, I take my eyes of of them for a second and three more are gone! I hardly had enough left to take pics!
Also have a few before you do a sport, they'll get you energized real quick!

    1. Well, people say 2 spoons of peanut butter is good for you and there is definitely more than that in those. Also if you use dark chocolate, even healthier!
